You’ll take ownership of the finance function as Financial Controller, working closely with the Managing Director and supported by the Group FD. What’s on offer: Broad, autonomous role with real influence Flexible part-time hours (23-28 hours per week e.g. 3 full days or shorter hours across 5 days) Hybrid working with trust and flexibility Exposure to strategic projects and M&A activity Free on-site parking Supportive and collaborative leadership team £55,000-£65,000 pro rata Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for: Overseeing month-end reporting (WD3/WD7 timelines) Reviewing and providing insightful commentary on management accounts Overseeing VAT returns, balance sheet reconciliations and payroll sign-off (outsourced) Cashflow reporting and dividend planning Driving annual budgeting and forecasting cycles Acting as liaison for auditors Supporting M&A integrations and project work across the group Mentoring, leading and developing an Accounts Assistant Identifying and leading on system improvements What you will need: Previous experience in a similar role, such as Financial Controller / Finance Director / Head of Finance / Finance Manager Proven experience in financial control within SMEs Strong communication skills and ability to present clearly – you’ll be presenting to the MD and Group FD To be detail-oriented with a proactive, improvement-focused mindset Confidence with Excel (intermediate) and a willingness to learn MS Dynamics If you would like to find out more about this role, please apply with your CV or LinkedIn PDF.
