Works manager (Civil Engineering)
Location: Aberdeen
Rate: £300–£400 per day (DOE)
Contract Type: Freelance / Contract
We are seeking an experienced S to oversee a civils package on a major civil engineering project in Aberdeen. This is a key role requiring strong site leadership, coordination of works, and a proactive approach to health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day supervision of cabling and associated civil works
*
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
*
Coordinating subcontractors, labour, and plant
*
Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings
*
Maintaining accurate site records, RAMS, and permits
*
Liaising with project management, engineers, and client representatives
*
Enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards at all times
Requirements:
*
SMSTS or SSSTS (valid)
*
CSCS Card (Supervisor or Manager level preferred)
*
First Aid at Work (FA)
*
Proven experience supervising cabling and/or civil engineering projects
*
Strong understanding of H&S regulations and site procedures
*
Ability to work in a remote location and manage site teams effectively
