PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £60,000 - £68,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The HR Business Partner - People Operations, acts as the operational lead for outsourced HR service delivery, ensuring resilience, service quality and continuous improvement across all People Operations activities. This role leads the service and operational elements of outsourced HR provision, working in close partnership with the Commercial team and Group Procurement, who retain responsibility for commercial strategy, tendering, and contract ownership. Together, these teams bring complementary skillsets to ensure an aligned, well‑governed and value‑for‑money operating model.

By partnering closely with Group Procurement and Commercial Finance, you’ll influence commercial arrangements, ensure value for money, and provide the operational insight that informs future fit HR design. You’ll also lead operational governance, develop high quality reporting and insights, support procurement activity with expert input, and identify opportunities to optimise cost, service design and efficiency. It’s a role for someone who wants to make a visible impact, own meaningful outcomes, and play a central part in shaping how HR services are delivered across the organisation.
Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as the operational HR lead for outsourced service delivery.
* Own day to day HR service operations, ensuring suppliers consistently meet SLAs, customer expectations and operational standards.
* Drive service improvement by identifying risks, leading root cause analysis and implementing recovery and enhancement plans.
* Lead supplier performance management, chairing service level governance meetings and monitoring SLA compliance, risks and escalations.
* Partner with Group Procurement and Commercial Finance to align commercial arrangements, validate billing accuracy and ensure value for money service delivery.
* Provide high quality operational reporting, insights and continuous improvement recommendations to enhance service design, efficiency and customer experience.
Essential Criteria
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* Proven experience in operational service delivery, contract performance oversight and supplier management.
* Strong stakeholder management with ability to work in partnership with commercial and procurement specialists.
* Ability to assess supplier performance, identify issues and intervene with urgency to protect service quality.
* High‑quality documentation, analysis, briefing and governance reporting skills.
* Excellent analytical capability to interpret data and make recommendations.
Desired Criteria
* Understanding of HR operating models, outsourced HR service delivery and HR systems.
* Experience supporting procurement processes or contributing to tender evaluations from an operational perspective.
* Knowledge of BBC governance, compliance frameworks and service standards.
* Awareness of digital service design and automation opportunities.
* Ability to deliver effectively in a complex, fast‑moving operational environment.
