A long‑established mechanical & electrical contractor based in South Wales is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of HSE standards across multiple projects. This is a permanent role offering stability, autonomy, and the chance to shape and lead the company’s safety culture.

The Role
You will lead all Health & Safety activities across live construction and M&E projects, ensuring compliance, promoting a positive safety culture, and supporting project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all site‑based and company HSE functions across multiple projects
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
* Produce RAMS, method statements, risk assessments, and safety documentation
* Ensure adherence to CDM Regulations and statutory requirements
* Deliver toolbox talks, HSE briefings, and internal safety training
* Investigate incidents, near misses, and support root‑cause analysis
* Support project teams with on‑site safety advice and guidance
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies
* Maintain company safety certifications and drive continuous improvement
About You
* Proven experience as a Health & Safety Manager within construction or M&E contracting
* Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015
* NEBOSH qualification (General, Construction, or equivalent)
* Excellent understanding of RAMS, audit processes, and compliance frameworks
* Confident communicator able to influence safety culture on site
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to visit multiple projects
