GI CONSULTANT - RETENTION / CUSTOMER SERVICE CONSULTANT

Basic Salary: Up to £25,000 dependent on skills and experience

Permanent

Hybrid working (office based in Birmingham) – Currently 1-2 days in the office per week

Your role:

You’ll be working within a team of consultants to deliver renewals for specified insurance products—namely Home, Motor and Travel—while providing exceptional customer service and supporting key administrative processes. This dual-focus role ensures smooth operations behind the scenes and a seamless experience for our customers.

You’ll be responsible for achieving activity targets and KPIs, contributing to the wider performance of your team, all whilst demonstrating a high level of customer service and accuracy in administrative tasks.

What you’ll be doing:

· Provide tailored advice to renew Motor/Home/Travel Insurance via inbound and outbound calls.

· Handle both inbound and outbound telephone calls from new and existing customers, ensuring all requests/queries/changes are dealt with promptly.

· Carry out essential administrative tasks, including updating customer records, processing policy amendments, and maintaining accurate documentation.

· Ensure all customer documentation meets quality standards and contains accurate information.

· Upgrade policies to client needs, promoting features & benefits in line with Wesleyan standards.

· Administer changes to policies, including recalculating premiums, liaising with underwriting, updating payment details, and confirming changes with customers.

· Support compliance by ensuring all processes and records adhere to regulatory requirements.

· Take great care in achieving objectives consistently and compliantly, ensuring best outcomes for customers and treating them fairly.

We’re looking for:

· Understanding of and delivering of an advice-based service.

· Previous experience in customer service and administrative support (insurance experience desirable).

· Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong written and oral communication skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing workloads.

· High standard of customer service skills.
