Our client, a leader in the defence industry, is currently seeking a Senior Quality Inspector with a focus on Radiography to join their team in Barrow on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting radiographic inspections of pipework to ensure quality and integrity
* Completing paper reports for the signing off of welds
* Passing on knowledge and expertise to junior staff members
* Working on a shift basis with 12-hour shifts, including daytime and night-time work
* Inspecting components related to nuclear or piping work
Job Requirements:
* PCN Level 2 in radiography for welds
* Experience in DPI (Dye Penetrant Inspection) or PT (Penetrant Testing) of welds
* Advanced radiation safety training
* Basic radiation safety knowledge
* Mechanical background with an understanding of NDTs (Non-Destructive Tests)
* Proficiency with IT tools, including Microsoft Office, SAP, and Teamcenter
* Experience in industries such as aerospace, nuclear, or oil & gas
Contract Details:
* Duration: 12 months
* Shift basis: 3 on 4 off, 7 on 7 off in nights
* Day and Night shifts available
* Full onsite requirements
* Immediate start available
