About the role
Empower Development is fast becoming the go-to brand for insurance technical and soft skills training. This role will be focused on developing and delivering instructor-led soft skills and technical training, (virtual and in-person), as well as producing and updating online content. We are recognised for the quality of our products and services, and this role will contribute to the ongoing improvement of our offerings.
Responsibilities
• Deliver existing training courses (in person and online)
• Review and update existing courses to ensure content remains fresh and inspiring
• Research, design and deliver new or bespoke programmes, including slides, workbooks, course outlines and materials
• Support with the delivery of client projects where required
• Identify opportunities to embed gamification and learning technologies into our offering
• Contribute to business development activities, including pipeline management and creating business proposals
• Due to the company’s nature, there will likely be additional projects and ad-hoc responsibilities. The successful candidate can also shape the role around their areas of interest as the organisation grows.

• Experience delivering training across a range of topics to a variety of audiences
• Experience delivering training online (via teams/zoom/Webex or similar) and in-person
• Familiar with the insurance industry
• Exceptional organisation skills and an eye for detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in successfully managing a busy workload with competing priorities
• Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a small and agile team
• A drive for continuous self-development evidenced through independent pursuit of qualifications, non-fiction reading podcasts etc
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Experience in designing and delivering engaging technical insurance training
• Psychometric facilitator accreditation e.g. SDI, MBTI, DiSC or similar
• A recognised coaching qualification
• Understanding of CII qualifications, completion is highly valued but not essential for this role
• Experience with design platforms e.g. Canva, Vyond
• Experience with E-learning design
• Proficiency in using MS Teams and Zoom to present Flexible Working Empower Development operates a hybrid working model.
The successful candidate will be expected to work from the Gracechurch Street office in London at least once a week (although there are no fixed days) and when required for events, training and meetings. Occasional further travel in the UK for training, conferences and strategy days may be required. Events and travel are arranged with reasonable notice and in cooperation to ensure travel is reasonable. Flexibility is important.
