Randstad CP is seeking an experienced Technical Service Manager for a leading Facilities Management company onsite in Irvine.
This pivotal role reports to the Contract Manager and requires maintaining professional and technical competence to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise the site team in accordance with company procedures and policies.
2. Ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the site's M&E Plant and Equipment, Building Fabric, Site Infrastructure, External Works, Grounds, Transport, and Waste Services.
3. Plan and control changes effectively.
4. Research new technologies and alternative methods to improve efficiency.
5. Support a robust out-of-hours callout system for all contract service lines.
6. Ensure reactive repairs to M&E systems (e.g., BMS, Fire, Air Conditioning, Generators, Compressors, LV Electrical Distribution and Switch Gear), fabric, and infrastructure are completed correctly and per contract requirements.
7. Provide technical support to team supervisors for prioritizing and delegating reactive and preventative maintenance tasks.
8. Ensure preventative maintenance is performed according to schedules and industry best practices.
9. Advise the Account Manager on labor levels and holiday/absence coverage.
10. Procure and manage subcontractors, including inductions and minor works.
11. Monitor staff performance to meet or exceed client expectations.
12. Manage budgets, costs, and invoicing.
13. Assist in producing Contract Review Packs.
14. Monitor and audit quality documentation for compliance.
15. Ensure adherence to HR policies, including managing grievances and disciplinary actions.
Experience Requirements:
* Valid driver's license.
* At least two years in a similar role or equivalent.
* Knowledge of current technical standards and business-critical services.
* Experience working in a Blue-Chip environment.
* Ability to formulate, assess, and validate risk assessments and method statements.
