Overview
DFDS North Shields, England, United Kingdom – Group Sales Advisor (Part-time, 24 hours per week over up to 3 days, Monday to Friday). The role focuses on driving sales, managing group reservations, and providing exceptional support to business-to-business and group customers across DFDS routes. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience and identify opportunities to maximise revenue through upselling and cross-selling.
Responsibilities
* Handle group reservations, enquiries, and back-office tasks such as allocation adjustments, manifest entries, payments, and booking finalisation.
* Deliver excellent customer service while proactively identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
* Collaborate with colleagues in sales operations, business sales, finance, product, and revenue management to achieve targets and KPIs.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of product portfolio, vessels, systems, and digital processes to provide accurate information and support to customers.
* Build and nurture strong relationships with customers, agents, and internal stakeholders, acting as a DFDS brand ambassador.
About You
You are a proactive and customer-focused professional with a strong sales mindset and a structured approach to work. You are a natural team player who thrives in a global, cross-functional environment and brings excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills. You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, enjoy building relationships, and find opportunities to add value. You are agile, flexible, and self-motivated, taking initiative to drive results. Fluency in both Dutch and English is essential. Experience in the travel industry is preferred but not required.
