Life Coach (Clinical Psychologist)
Permanent contract | full-time 37 hours per week | £53,802 to £59,196 per annum (Grade M) | Norwich
The Norfolk Fostering Service is a corporate priority as we recognise that family based care is the best care for most children and young people.
We recognise, however, that many of our young people have significant trauma due to past issues and for some children this has meant that they have struggled with family life. We want to be able to support children and young people to reside in family based care, where possible, but both they and the foster carers will require additional support and resources in order to achieve stability and permanence for all involved.
If you have both the qualification and experience of working with vulnerable children and their network, we would love to hear from you. This is an exciting time to be part of the Norfolk Fostering Service and to be delivering extraordinary input to those who will most benefit from this.
With responsibility for recognising the potential for or signs of client harm, abuse or neglect, including poor clinical practice you will report all such concerns and take all reasonable steps to protect the client. You will formulate plans for highly specialist psychological therapy and/or management of clients’ mental health conditions based upon an appropriate conceptual framework and evidence-based practice.
With a postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent), you will have HCPC registration. You will have experience working in CAMHS or in Adult Services with clear evidence of transferrable skills. With experience of specialist assessments, you will have devised treatments for children or adults with behaviours that challenge.
This is a great opportunity to be part of our exciting new service, connecting and engaging with young people to support them to achieve the best possible outcomes in life.
