About Us:

Aztec Aerosols is a dynamic and growing company committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers. We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior Buyer to join our team and help us maintain our high standards of production efficiency and supplier relationships.

Operating since 1995 undertaking Aerosol Contract Filling for customers we have been based on Gateway in Crewe since 1999 and the site has grown in size and market presence. In 2017, the business was acquired by the Instarmac group plc, a privately owned manufacturing business, who are an award winning Times top 100 business who supply products to the Highway maintenance, Tiling, Commercial flooring and External hard landscaping markets to most continents across the world.

Some of the key responsibilities for this role will include:

* Ensure Accurate Supply: Ensure timely and cost-effective availability of components and materials to meet production requirements. Leading demand planning and forecasting to ensure accurate and timely supply of components.
* Strategic sourcing initiatives: Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives, manage supplier performance, and identify opportunities to reduce costs and streamline procurement processes.
* Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including supplier visits and engagement at trade fairs, to stay ahead of market trends.
* Negotiation & continuous improvement: Lead commercial negotiations to secure optimal terms, service levels and pricing for purchased products and actively seek opportunities for trade, value, seasonality, and continuous demand improvement.
* Metrics: Track, report, and present key procurement metrics, including on-time delivery, cost savings, and supplier performance.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Production Planning teams to align procurement decisions with business and operational requirements.
* MRP System Use: Fulfil requirements through the MRP purchasing system.
* Optimisation: Oversee and optimise procurement processes, purchase order management, and contract lifecycle management, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* Market intelligence: Conduct market intelligence and category analysis to support strategic decision-making and long-term supplier portfolio development.
* Guidance: Provide guidance and support to junior procurement colleagues when required.

Qualifications:

* CIPS qualified
* Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role.
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to obtain the best prices for products.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using MRP purchasing systems.
* Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Willingness to travel for supplier management and auditing purposes.
* Experience in supplier and contractor management, including quality standards and auditing.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
