An exciting company who develop technology for the Civil Aerospace, Defence, Space, Industrial, Medical and Scientific industries are looking to recruit a Production Engineer to provide support to manufacture. They are a global company who work on some of the highest profile projects in the world.
Duties:
* Drive efficiency, optimise processes, and guarantee products meet stringent quality standards.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
* Identify areas for process improvement within the product manufacturing cycle.
* Analyse production workflows, implement efficiency improvements, and reduce waste to increase overall productivity.
* Maintain and improve quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
* Perform root cause analyses for defects, and implement corrective actions.
* Provide technical support to the manufacturing team, troubleshooting and resolving production issues to root cause.
* Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, and quality control protocols.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Experience:
* A Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or similar is essential.
* Must have extensive experience of Production/Manufacturing Engineering.
* Process optimisation, root cause analysis, and quality control methodologies such as 8D, 6 Sigma are essential.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
* Must be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
* Candidates must hold a British passport.
* Hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, finishing at 4.30pm on Friday.
