Carbon60 is seeking a talented Maintenance Control Centre Engineer to join their client in Brize Norton, UK. Due to the nature of this business and location, you will need to be able to pass security clearance.
As the Maintenance Control Centre Engineer, you will be the focal point at the heart of the operation, empowered to make decisions and with clear escalation pathways to ensure continued aircraft operations. In this critical role, you will report on the serviceability of the forward fleet, liaise with various teams to coordinate aircraft recovery, and monitor the progress of maintenance tasks.
Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Control Centre Engineer include:
- Reporting serviceability states of the forward fleet to the company and customer
- Coordinating the recovery of aircraft on ground (AOG) at the main operating base and deployed locations
- Liaising with Logistics, Fleet Tasking, Availability Management, and Short-Term Planning teams
- Monitoring the Minimum Operational & Safety Equipment List (MOSEL) and Acceptable Deferred Faults (ADFs)
- Communicating with Part 145 Line Supervisors regarding serviceability and readiness levels
- Providing escalation pathways and assistance to the Part 145 maintenance organisations
- Enacting the Business Continuity Plan and RAF Crash and Disaster Plan in the event of a major incident
- Providing out-of-hours cover for various operational tasks
To be successful in this role, you should ideally hold an EASA Part-66 engineer's licence or demonstrate relevant experience and competence. Knowledge of SFAR-88, EWIS, and Human Factors is also highly desirable. Proficiency in the use of communication and information systems, as well as familiarity with Airbus systems and platforms, would be a significant advantage.
This position operates on a straight days shift pattern of 5 on, 5 off, 4 on. Hours are 06:30am - 19:00pm. There are both PAYE and Umbrella rates available, both have a 13.88% shift uplift.
