Grants and Compliance Manager

Salary: £50,000 - £52,000 Per Annum Based on 35 Hours Per Week

About the Role
TheGrants and Compliance Manageris responsible foroverseeing compliance relating to grants, including associated reporting requirements and financial controls. Working across multiple directorates, you will collaborate closely with colleagues inInternational,UK Operations, andFundraising / Grant Management, as well as finance and programmatic teams across the widerorganisation.
You will playa central rolein ensuring that all grant-funded activity is supported by robust due diligence,accuratedonor reporting, and strong internal controls. This position alsoleadsimprovements to financial compliance processes, helping theorganisationcontinually strengthen accountability and transparency.
WhatYou’llBe Doing
* Overseeing donor compliance across a diverse portfolio of grants and funding streams.
* Ensuring the highest standards offinancialcontrols,due diligence, andrisk managementfor grant-fundedprogrammes.
* Supporting teams across International, UK Operations, Fundraising, and Finance to meet donor requirements andorganisationalpolicies.
* Managing and reviewing all donor financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Leadingorganisation-wide improvements to grant compliance systems, processes, and best practice.
* Acting as a key advisor toprogrammeand finance teams on compliance expectations and donor guidelines.
* Contributing to capacity building across theorganisationto strengthen understanding of grant management and compliance.
About You
We’relooking for someone who brings:
* Strong experience ingrant management,donor compliance, orfinancial oversightwithin the charity, humanitarian, or public sectors.
* A thorough understanding of donor rules and financial reporting requirements (e.g., institutional donors, trusts and foundations, government funding).
* Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* The ability to build strong relationships and influence colleagues across multiple teams.
* Confidence leading process improvement and strengthening internal controls.
* A passion for the mission and values of the British Red Cross.
