An established engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to support a growing portfolio of major infrastructure projects across the water and rail sectors.

The Role
Responsibilities
* Produce geotechnical and civil engineering design calculations and drawings
* Prepare GI specifications, interpretive reports and design reports
* Ensure designs comply with technical, professional and group standards
* Support and direct CAD technicians, graduates and junior engineers
* Attend and present at IDC/KM7 meetings and technical reviews
* Estimate design package hours and support delivery planning
* Ensure design changes are fully implemented and recorded
* Work within formal engineering and quality assurance procedures
Qualifications
* 10+ years’ design experience within geotechnical and/or civil engineering
* Strong understanding of geotechnical investigations and reporting
* Experience delivering projects within regulated infrastructure sectors (rail, water, utilities, highways, nuclear or similar)
* Strong technical design capability and problem‑solving skills
* Degree or HND qualified
* Working towards Chartership or already professionally registered
* Water or railway project experience
* Chartered Engineer status
* Knowledge of GI methods, construction materials and engineering drawing practices
