We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Business Studies Teacher to join a well-established secondary school in the Leeds area. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated educator who is passionate about developing students' understanding of business, enterprise, and the wider world of work.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging and challenging lessons that equip students with valuable skills for further education, employment, and future careers.
The Role
As a Business Studies Teacher, you will:
* Deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5
* Plan, prepare, and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements
* Support students in achieving strong academic outcomes
* Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
* Monitor progress and provide targeted support where required
* Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
* Experience teaching Business Studies within a UK secondary school setting
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for business and enterprise
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* The ability to motivate and inspire learners of all abilities
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
Desirable Experience:
* Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level Business Studies
* Knowledge of current examination specifications
* Experience supporting intervention and revision programmes
* SEND experience or additional Humanities teaching experience
* Thrive training or a willingness to undertake professional development
