Lead workshop maintenance, overhaul and repair activity Wolviston Management Services is proud to be working in partnership with Tioxide to recruit a Workshop Supervisor for their Greatham site. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will lead the Workshops Mechanical and Fabrication team in the safe delivery of maintenance, overhaul and repair work to agreed standards, timescales and costs. You will help ensure workshop activity is well planned, safely delivered and aligned with site priorities, while supporting high standards of mechanical integrity, fabrication quality, materials traceability and continuous improvement. What you’ll be doing You will: Lead and direct mechanical workshop activities, ensuring compliance with site safety, engineering and quality standards. Develop and deliver the workshop plan in line with site requirements and agreed priorities. Manage the overhaul of off-site equipment to agreed time and cost targets. Control and manage valve overhaul activity, whether completed on or off site. Support fabrication quality and materials traceability for safety-critical equipment. Lead, motivate and develop workshop team members. Support continuous improvement through maintenance excellence programmes. Identify training and skill development needs within the workshop team. Maintain discipline, performance and clear communication of expected standards. Provide progress reports and KPIs on current mechanical activity. Promote a positive, values-led culture focused on safety, quality and high performance. Candidate requirements We welcome applications from people who have: A supervisory qualification, or equivalent front-line management experience. A strong mechanical equipment background, including valves, rotating equipment and conveying systems. Experience leading workshop, maintenance, fabrication, overhaul or repair activity. The ability to read engineering drawings and communicate technical information clearly to the shopfloor. Experience of production planning and organising workshop activity to meet agreed plans. Experience leading, engaging and developing a team. A practical, safety-focused approach and commitment to high-quality work.
