We have built a repeatable sales process across our core target segments and are now looking for a Head of Sales to drive the next stage of our growth in the UK. This role will focus on expanding our presence in our core markets by leveraging existing client relationships, generating new business, and refining our sales strategy.
What You’ll Do
We are seeking a player/coach Head of Sales to drive our continued growth in the UK. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this role is instrumental in driving new business, mentoring junior colleagues, and shaping our product offering. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, a strategic mindset, and a hands-on approach to closing deals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Self-generating new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and targeted outreach.
* Closing new business, with a strong understanding of the MEDDIC sales methodology (or similar).
* Providing insight on industry best practices - including across the wider business where relevant - to strengthen our market position and refine our approach.
* Mentoring our junior BDMs, fostering their development and enhancing overall sales team performance.
* Supporting product growth by providing market feedback and collaborating with internal teams.
* Delivering and documenting a clear sales process to streamline the acquisition of new clients and ensure scalable success.
About You
Essential
* 7+ years of B2B sales experience
* A track record of consistently exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability and desire to personally contribute to sales efforts, not just manage a team.
* Strong ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Exceptional negotiation and closing skills .
* Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to drive strategic decisions.
Desirable
* Experience selling into blue-collar industries, ideally in transport, logistics, or related sectors.
* Experience with HubSpot or similar CRMs is a plus.
* A clear understanding of MEDDIC sales methodology (or similar).
Working Details
This is a full-time role. We’re a remote-first company, but this position requires some in-person working across the UK, including customer site visits and occasional team meetings in London. We also host quarterly in-person company-wide meetings, monthly virtual team socials, and weekly virtual all-hands meetings.
