Field Service Engineer

South West location, UK (Field-Based)
Full‑time | Permanent | 40 hours per week

About the role
The main purpose of this role is to service, maintain, install, and commission water treatment systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and a high level of customer satisfaction.

This role is full‑time and permanent, working 40 hours per week, with travel across the UK and occasional overseas work required.
Responsibilities
* Servicing and maintaining water treatment systems including Reverse Osmosis, Deionisers, Filters, Water Softeners, and Effluent Treatment Plants
* Managing relationships with customers and site operatives
* Diagnosing and resolving technical issues both on‑site and remotely
* Completing installation and commissioning of equipment (subject to skills and experience)
* Producing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation
* Responding to customer requirements in line with technical and commercial specifications
* Supporting continuous service improvement initiatives
* Ensuring high standards of customer care at all times
* Adhering to all company policies, including Health & Safety
Qualifications
* GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
* Electrical background preferred (mechanical experience also considered)
* Experience within the water treatment industry (advantageous)
* Previous experience as a Service Engineer or in a field‑based technical role (advantageous)
* Knowledge of PLC systems (desirable but not essential)
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Good IT skills, including MS Office
* A professional and proactive approach to work
