We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to empower adults with learning disabilities to promote independent living in their own homes. As a support worker, you will help create a supportive environment through a person-centred approach, enabling people to feel safe and live independently. You will encourage them to take control of their own lives, express their preferences, and make their own choices.
What you’ll do
Assist adults with learning disabilities by providing support that fosters independence and confidence. Promote a person-centred approach to enable individuals to feel safe, express their preferences, and make their own decisions.
Qualifications
You should be caring and compassionate, with good listening skills. Experience working with learning disabilities and autism is desirable but not essential; your compassion and willingness to learn are most important. Resilience and the ability to develop new skills as part of a close-knit team are also valued.
