About Our Client
Our client is a leading logistics and supply chain provider, with a strong presence throughout the UK. They provide Warehousing and transport across all sectors including retail, infrastructure, and defence.
Job Description
Coordinate and facilitate safety training sessions for employees/contractors, including induction training and ongoing refresher courses.
* Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, near misses, and corrective actions, and analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, and collaborate with relevant teams to develop and implement effective corrective and preventive measures.
* Manage the distribution centre's safety equipment inventory, ensuring adequate supply and compliance with relevant standards.
* Liaise with internal auditors to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
* Support the HSE Manager in the development and maintenance of emergency response plans and procedures, including evacuation drills and first aid drills.
* Prepare and complete daily and monthly reports on health, safety, and environmental metrics, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and areas for improvement
The Successful Applicant
A successful Health and Safety Administrator should have:
* Proven experience in a similar role within the distribution or logistics industry, with a strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organisation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with safety management software is preferred.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment
