As a manager, you will be responsible for ensuring your team is engaged and performing as effectively as possible. To do this you will collaborate with Product and other stakeholders as part of strategic planning and maintain a good heads‑up view of upcoming challenges. You will be responsible for capacity planning, performance management and community building to maximize our ability to meet them.
You will drive quality across all stages of the SDLC to ensure quality is central to building software and partner with Delivery to champion our Agile ways of working.
We are expanding across several product‑engineering tribes at Zopa and need new Engineering Managers for our Current Account, Product Enablement or Operation Efficiency teams. In the interview process we will meet a range of Zopians from different teams to assess where you would have the most impact. Regardless of team, our Engineering Managers work in a hybrid manner, so this role will be coming into our London office at least 2 days a week.

* Enjoy owning and solving problems. You can create structure out of ambiguity, think about problems holistically and can drive an agenda while juggling multiple demands.
* You are empathetic with strong relationship building skills and can communicate clearly and succinctly across a broad range of stakeholders throughout the software development process, managing expectations as you go.
