Coba Education is seeking compassionate and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in Daventry and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff or those with a passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
As a supply SEN TA, you ll play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties. You ll be placed in local primary and/or secondary schools, offering 1:1 support or working with small groups, depending on the needs of the school.
Key Responsibilities
* Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
* Assist the class teacher with classroom management and lesson delivery.
* Promote positive behaviour and inclusion across the school day.
* Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs.
* Follow individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans.
* Ensure the safety, care, and well-being of all pupils in your care.
* Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school or alternative settings).
* A calm, patient, and flexible approach to support.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Right to work in the UK.
* A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 TA, or SEN-specific training) is desirable but not essential.
