The Role: We are seeking an experienced Senior Learning Designer to join our Talent Development function on an initial 6-month FTC with potential to extend. This role has been created to level up the Talent Development function by designing clear, structured learning pathways that support onboarding, role progression, management development, and ongoing upskilling across the business. The successful candidate will focus on learning architecture and content creation, building role-based learning paths by level and capability. This includes defining what individuals need to know at each stage of their role, how they develop as they move up, and how learning is kept relevant and alive over time. This is a design and build role only there is no delivery requirement. Context & Environment Existing learning tools include Udemy and HiBob No fully integrated LMS currently in place External providers already in use, including Wetpaint and Sandler Learning pathways must work across existing tools and remain future-proof The business is scaling and working towards potential investment Key Objectives Design learning pathways by role and level, covering onboarding, progression, and movement between roles Define core knowledge, skills, and behaviours required at each level Redesign and clarify capability frameworks and link them directly to learning paths Embed external learning (e.g. Wetpaint and Sandler) into structured pathways to keep learning active and relevant Create a consistent learning methodology, language, and quality standard across all learning content Build a clear, credible learning “bible” that demonstrates how the business supports and develops its people Key Responsibilities Design structured, role-specific learning pathways aligned to capability frameworks Build scalable onboarding journeys for new joiners and internal movers Create and curate high-quality learning content, including e-learning modules, toolkits, and learning resources Design blended learning models combining e-learning, modular learning, and face-to-face elements (design only) Work with internal teams where appropriate to build learning content, providing clear guidance and quality control Ensure consistent language, structure, and standards across all learning materials Integrate external learning providers into clear, coherent learning journeys Create visual learning maps and progression frameworks that are easy to understand and use Work effectively without a fully integrated LMS, designing learning that can be deployed across multiple tools Partner with senior internal stakeholders to understand priorities and translate them into learning solutions Requirements Essential Proven experience as a Senior Learning Designer, Learning Architect, or similar role Experience building sales learning pathways, working within a sales training organisation or exposure to commercial environments Strong background in building end-to-end learning pathways by role and level Hands-on learning design and content creation experience Experience designing learning without reliance on a fully integrated LMS Highly structured and systems-oriented approach Comfortable working with senior internal stakeholders Strong written communication skills with a focus on clarity and consistency Highly Desirable Experience integrating external learning providers into internal learning frameworks Background in scaling or investment-ready businesses Measures of Success Clear, usable learning pathways across roles and levels Learning content that is ready to deploy and easy to maintain Capability frameworks clearly linked to learning journeys Consistent language and standards across all learning materials Increased confidence from managers and employees in progression and development pathways Benefits Annual Leave: Enjoy up to 30 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays, your birthday off, and a Christmas closure period. ️ Hybrid Working Model: We work 4 days a week from our London office, with 2 weeks per year to work from anywhere, whether that’s by the beach, in the countryside, or closer to family.
