A caring and forward-thinking school is seeking a Mental Health Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
In this Mental Health Assistant position, you will work closely with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them develop emotional resilience, confidence, and positive coping strategies. The Mental Health Assistant will help create a safe, supportive, and structured environment where students can thrive.
Responsibilities
* Provide support for pupils with SEMH needs
* Help students understand and regulate their emotions
* Deliver targeted interventions and support sessions
* Build strong and positive relationships with pupils
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
