Mowden Controls, an Electronics CEM (Contract Electronics Manufacturer) based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, is proud to celebrate 60 years of electronics manufacture, design, and assembly in 2025. We produce critical and non-critical PCB assemblies and electronics for control systems and monitoring devices, trusted by partners in industries such as Harsh Environments (ATEX Intrinsically Safe), Cryogenics, Aerospace (AS9100), Defence, Environmental, and SatComms.

This is a full-time position within our company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpretation of engineering drawings
2. Following company SOPs
3. Production and assembly of precision components
4. Operation of manual and CNC lathes and milling machines, as well as other engineering equipment
5. Design and production of assembly fixtures to aid production
6. Problem solving and modification techniques
7. Housekeeping and safe operation of department equipment
8. Communication with colleagues from different disciplines
Qualifications and Training:
This apprenticeship requires passing the following in order to complete the End Point Assessment:
* Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
Training Details:
Day(s) release will be at South West Durham Training. Specific days to be determined.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8 hours per day; Friday, 4 hours. Exact hours TBC.
