Are you patient, positive, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated Alternative Provision Tutors to support students who face barriers to mainstream education.
About the Role:
You will work 1:1 or in small groups with students who may be:
At risk of permanent exclusion
Experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA)
Living with complex SEN needs
Recovering from medical issues
Or facing other challenges that prevent them from thriving in traditional settings
About you:
We welcome applications from individuals with at least 1 year of experience in UK schools in roles such as:
Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Teacher
Cover Supervisor
1:1 Tutor
Or similar education-based roleAs a Tutor, you will:
Deliver tailored educational support in line with EHCPs or individual learning plans
Build trusting relationships with students and families
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
Work collaboratively with schools, local authorities, and other professionalsPosition - Tutor
Contract or position start date - ASAP

Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of UK school experience
Strong understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and behaviour management
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Flexibility to travel within Whiteley and surrounding areasTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
Hold right to work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide references upon request
Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
