Grounds Maintenance Operative
Location: Lingfield, Surrey
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.30am
Pay Rate: Up to £17 per hour
About the Role
Join a dedicated local authority maintenance team responsible for maintaining highways, footpaths, and green spaces across the area Working on the ground, you’ll carry out tree cutting, pruning and vegetation clearance, helping to keep public spaces safe, tidy and well-presented for the local community..
Key Responsibilities
* Operate chainsaws safely for tree cutting, pruning and branch removal
* Collect and process timber and vegetation, including chipping and clearing
* Maintain and check all tools and machinery for safety and functionality
* Work with the team to keep public areas safe and tidy
* Follow all health & safety regulations and site procedures
Essential Skills & Experience
* Valid chainsaw tickets
* Experience operating chainsaws in tree/grounds maintenance
* Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
* Reliable, punctual and able to work outdoors in all weather
* Team player with strong work ethic and safety awareness
