Your New Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team. The role will involve working across a range of customer sites, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), breakdown support and contributing to improvement projects. You will play a key role in minimising downtime, improving equipment reliability and supporting production performance.
Whilst working your key duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults • Provide breakdown support in a timely and efficient manner • Assist with installation and upgrade projects • Ensure all work ispleted in line with health & safety standards •municate effectively with customers and internal teams.
What You'll Need To Succeed
In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Essential Criteria
Time-served apprenticeship with a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar • Minimum 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in a similar maintenance role • Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and/or electrical systems • Good understanding of health & safety practices • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Full, clean UK driving licence.
Desirable Criteria
18th Edition Wiring Regulations • MEWP training • Experience within food manufacturing or other fast-paced production environments • Welding/fabrication experience • PLC fault-finding experience.
What You'll Get In Return
For working a highly attractive shift pattern on days (core hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30) you will earn a salary up to £40000 (DoE) +pany van and fuel card, enhanced with an OT rate of or TIL and 30 days holidays.
