Fayers Plumbing & Building Supplies is an independently family-owned builders merchant with branches in Barnet, Middlesex, Buckhurst Hill, Essex, and Kings Cross, Central London. We specialize in the supply of sanitary ware to the trade, stocking a wide range of products from renowned brands such as Ideal Standard, Twyford, Duravit, VitrA, Kaldewei, Grohe, Hansgrohe, Bristan, Dornbracht, Terrain, and Villeroy & Boch.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Branch Operative located in Buckhurst Hill. The Branch Operative will be responsible for serving customers, handling and managing stock, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and assisting with deliveries. Daily tasks include providing excellent customer service, managing inventory, operating forklift equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of the branch.
Previous experience with Plumbing and Building materials would be an advantage but product knowledge can be taught to the right candidate.
Qualifications
* Experience in customer service and retail environments
* Knowledge of plumbing and building supplies is advantageous
* Stock management and inventory control skills
* Forklift licence preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Attention to detail and organizational skills
* Experience in maintaining a clean and safe work environment
* Valid driver's license is a plus
