About the role We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Facilities Technician to join our team in East Dunbartonshire on a part-time, permanent basis. This role is key to ensuring the safe, compliant, and effective day-to-day operation of a school environment.
Youll be responsible for routine maintenance, basic repairs, and site management activities, working independently during scheduled hours while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
Key responsibilities Opening and closing the school in line with required occupancy times
Carrying out internal and external building checks and reporting faults (e.g. damaged tiles, leaks) to the Help Desk
Completing non-specialist repairs as required
Ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks are completed within agreed timescales
Managing visitor sign-in/sign-out procedures and key control
Ensuring site inductions are completed for contractors and visitors
Reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements for works on site
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
Supporting the safe and compliant operation of the school at all times

Well-organised with the ability to prioritise workload
Flexible and collaborative approach to teamwork
Previous experience working in a maintenance environment
Desirable:
Experience in a Facilities or Maintenance Technician role
