Job Description
Salary: £12.76 (including service charge)
To carry out all required duties within the stewarding department and all related areas and ensure 5 star safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
You will be accountable for:
1. To uphold good housekeeping standards to ensure a safe, clean and pleasant working environment
2. To comply with all Health and Safety at Work, especially COSHH and Manual Handling regulations, pertaining to this position in the department and to ensure that you attend all training sessions that are provided and training is logged.
3. To ensure standards with personal hygiene and grooming are consistently met.
Your key responsibilities & contribution will be:
4. To assist in the preparation of operating equipment for functions, inventories and other requirements and distribute
5. To wash and polish all operating equipment and cooking utensils and examine cleanliness before distribution
6. To empty bins and clear and sort refuse for operating equipment according to hotel policy
7. To thoroughly clean and disinfect all areas related to refuse when required
8. To wash, disinfect, degrease, dry and polish all floor surfaces, walls, kitchen equipment, extract vents, ceilings and other equipment before, during and after each meal service and when required.
9. To assist in the preparation of operating equipment for functions, inventories and other requirements and distribute.
10. To assist with the cleaning of operating equipment during banquet functions or at peak periods in back of house areas related to the outlets
Qualifications
What you will need to do this role:
Essential:
11. 1-3 years’ experience in the Hospitality Industry
12. Intermediate communication skills, both written & verbal.
13. Able to work well under pressure in fast paced and changing environment
14. Proven organizational skills, works well on their own, able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
15. Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others
16. Willing to work on rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
Desirable:
17. A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization
18. Industry related certifications
