The Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in architectural steelwork to join our dynamic team. This is a key position responsible for pricing tenders, analysing drawings and specifications, and preparing detailed cost estimates for bespoke architectural steelwork projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for architectural steelwork projects.
* Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
* Liaise with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements.
* Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure profitability.
* Assist in bid submissions and contract negotiations.
* Work closely with the design, contracts, and production teams.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Estimator in architectural or structural steelwork.
* Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications with precision.
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
* Proficient in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
* Relevant qualification in engineering, construction, or a related field is advantageous.
