NG Bailey Facilities Services are currently recruiting for an Administrator / Assistant Buyer to join their Procurement team based in Leeds.
Working as part of a small team, the Administrator will support the business to ensure that it is getting best value from suppliers and sub-contractors
The role is based full time in our office at Brown Lane West, there may be flexible work options when fully trained, but initially will need to work alongside an experienced member of the team face to face.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include;
* Support supplier performance reviews for individual contracts, as directed by the Senior Buyer, engaging with Operational teams as necessary, ensuring output is recorded and feedback is provided to support the development of appropriate improvement and change out plans
* Support the procurement team to obtain prices from sub-contractors and suppliers to meet the requirement of individual work winning tenders, sending out e-mails with associated information, chasing returns, and collating returns into defined documents
* Reach out to existing sub-contractors at defined periods to check their prices to ensure that they still provide best fit for the contract. Price-checking against alternative sub-contractors where directed
* Support the Senior Buyers in arranging and undertaking regular meetings with preferred suppliers to ensure appropriate performance management and that value add and innovation is brought back to contracts
* Provide regular updates on progress with undertaking tasks and support with the maintenance of accurate procurement files
* Keep work winning spreadsheets updated and accurate to enable wider Procurement Team members to understand progress
What we're looking for:
This is a good opportunity for someone with no previous buying/procurement experience BUT with good attention to detail. Good opportunity to progress and obtain qualifications – will provide access to training and development in procurement. You will need to have good Excel skills and be able to work on own initiative whilst delivering tasks, Team player and good with people
