Job Responsibilities
* Carry out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner, maintaining documentation of all works in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures.
* Work according to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at client premises, with occasional off-site work.
* Monitor and count site stock to ensure sufficient supplies for fleet maintenance.
* Inspect and monitor the safety of repaired and maintained trucks.
* Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets, purchase requisitions, and parts paperwork within required timescales.
* Take responsibility for all equipment and tooling, including van, laptop, and printer, ensuring they are in safe condition for the work undertaken.
* Work to strict schedules and deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
Knowledge in at least one of the following areas is required, with willingness to undertake additional training:
* Mechanical engineering
* Electrical engineering
* Hydraulics
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills, high standards, and adherence to timescales. Candidates should be able to undergo product training and immediately take on the Resident Engineer Service role.
Essential Skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Proficient in fault finding and repair
* GCSE grade C or above in English and Maths
* Experience with Health & Safety in a workshop environment
* Commitment to personal and professional development
* Excellent organizational skills, resourcefulness, and solution-driven mindset
* High accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads under tight deadlines
