Salary: £54,952 - £64,738 plus a range of benefits.

We are looking for a Policy Engineer/Expert to join our Connections Policy team. You will work on projects focused on low‑carbon technologies and Connections Reform, shaping how we manage and operate our networks.
Responsibilities
* Develop, review, and maintain internal policies and Work Instructions for all aspects of connections.
* Develop and monitor robust internal policies, processes, and procedures to ensure regulatory and statutory compliance with licence obligations.
* Ensure compliance with company policy and national/international standards across distribution.
* Deliver optimum performance against set targets, working closely with the Connections Policy Manager and the team.
Qualifications
* Strong business analysis skills.
* Solid commercial understanding and deep knowledge of UK electricity networks from a technical or regulatory perspective.
* Minimum of an HND in an engineering-based subject; industry experience will also be considered.
* Track record of delivering successful operations and projects in a similar role, with experience managing third‑party project relationships, including regulatory bodies such as Ofgem and Government.
* Excellent communication skills, able to relay complex messages clearly.
* Great organisational skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
