Role Description
This full-time on-site role, based in Leicester, is for a Senior Residential Childcare Worker in a Single Placement Therapeutic Home rated GOOD by Ofsted. The role involves providing direct care, supporting therapeutic practices, ensuring the safety and well-being of the child, and contributing to the creation of a nurturing, structured, and engaging environment. Additional responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining compliance with care standards, and fostering meaningful relationships with the child to help achieve their developmental goals.
Qualifications
* Skills in trauma-informed care, child development, and emotional support
* Experience in residential childcare and therapeutic practices
* Strong leadership, mentoring, and team supervision abilities
* Awareness of safeguarding regulations and knowledge of Ofsted care standards
* Effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
* Ability to build nurturing, trusting relationships with children and young people
* Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care or equivalent
* Full UK driving license preferred
* Passion for making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children
