Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Clinical Skills Midwives to join our trust to support and facilitate the development of clinical skills and learning opportunities within the maternity service.
We are looking to recruit experienced midwives with a passion for clinical education to support our established Midwifery Clinical Education Team. The posts will with either be inpatient or community based for a fixed term period to support the clinical development of Newly Qualified and Preceptorship midwives in practice.
Main duties of the job
1. Support Newly Qualified and Preceptorship Midwives in practice.
2. Assist the Clinical Education Team with co-ordination of clinical placements
3. Assist with audits, evaluations and reports to ensure the quality agenda is met.
4. Assist with the delivery of trust induction and preceptorship programs.
5. Develop teaching and learning materials, and use a variety of teaching and support methods, to meet the needs of the maternity workforce.
6. To carry out practice assessment to a consistent standard within the trust.
