Role Outline
We are seeking Occupational Health Technicians to join our peripatetic team. You will travel across the UK, driving a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to client sites to deliver high‑quality health surveillance services. A 3‑week training and induction programme will be provided.
What You'll Be Doing
* Conduct health surveillance screenings, including audiometry, lung function testing, and baseline measurements such as height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis.
* Accurately record all medical information in occupational health records and ensure it is passed to the relevant clinical staff.
* Maintain and ensure all equipment is clean, serviceable, and fit for purpose.
* Support health promotion activities and other additional tasks as required.
* Assist the wider occupational health team by gathering and recording accurate information to support clinical decision‑making.
* Provide biometric data through screening procedures to enable nursing and physician staff to make informed clinical decisions regarding patient management.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a self‑motivated professional with excellent time‑management, communication, and knowledge of GDPR. Experience as a Healthcare Support Worker, Emergency Care Assistant, Ambulance Technician, or similar roles is preferred. A valid manual UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months and holder aged 21 or over) is mandatory.
* Provide a licence share code via the official government website.
* During the initial weeks of employment, you may use your personal vehicle or a company‑provided hire car. A new company van will be supplied once available.
Travel & Overnight Stays
You must be able to park the MMU overnight near your home and be comfortable with the travel required. We advise you will be away from home for about 3 out of 4 weeks each month, returning home on Fridays.
* Diary visibility 6 weeks in advance.
* Subsistence for each night away from home, paid back within a week of claim.
* Access to a Premier Inn account for ease of booking.
* Fuel card.
Hours
This is a full‑time role: 37.5 hours per week, usually between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Location
Candidate should be located in or around the Coventry & Warwick area. Regional travel with occasional nationwide travel is required.
Salary
£25,000 – £27,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
