Role & Responsibilities
* Responsible for creating, managing, and governing the IT/OT architecture, strategy, and 5-year roadmaps. Attend the global FDB Architectural Review Board (ARB) to ensure standards and alignment are maintained. (10%)
* Perform cross-functional, multidisciplinary technical oversight, including evaluation of project work, staff, methods, and procedures related to enterprise-level IT/OT systems. Compile technology documentation for GxP and critical IT technologies. Participate in system validation and testing, approve validation documentation with ITQ, and represent IT systems during audits and inspections. (40%)
* Consult with system administrators, vendors, and other departments to provide guidance and technical direction for enterprise solutions, ensuring alignment with business strategy and vision. (15%)
* Design enterprise-wide systems architecture and integration strategies across multiple platforms, technologies, or software systems. (35%)
Qualifications and Experience
* Master’s or higher degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
* Over 10 years of experience in a senior IT 4th line or 7+ years in an Architect position within an enterprise IT environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 7+ years in an Architect role within a global enterprise business, or 10+ years in a 4th Line / Architect role.
* Strong business acumen and confidence engaging with senior leadership.
* Experience with OT/IT integration within biomedical services.
* Experience tracking emerging issues, strategies, patterns, and technologies to assess opportunities and risks.
* Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders across organizational levels, using architecture communication techniques.
* Ability to gain support for architectural initiatives with high risk, impact, and complexity.
* Proficiency in architectural governance and risk management to inform design decisions.
* Experience enabling strategic implementation across organizations by advocating resources and removing blockers.
* Ability to define strategies or visions that align with organizational objectives and create appropriate roadmaps or plans.
* Good understanding of security concerning open-source technologies.
* Experience designing high-risk, high-impact, complex technical solutions.
* Experience representing architectural governance within wider governance frameworks, such as legal or commercial.
