Project Accountant
Location: Hybrid Portland, Dorset (Osprey Quay)

Were looking for a Project Accountant to join our Finance Team, helping turn concepts into real-world systems that are manufactured, deployed, and used in the field.
With our integration facility located on-site, youll have the unique opportunity to see your contribution come to life. Financial oversight and involvement in delivering systems from concept through build, integration, and final deployment, ensuring cost control and budget adherence throughout.
What youll be doing
Own project financials: budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
Track project performance and flag risks or opportunities
Support project managers with commercial and financial decisions
Manage contract variations, invoices, and cost allocations
Work closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams
Produce clear management reports for stakeholders
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Drive process improvements and best practice in project finance

What were looking for
Essential
CIMA/ACCA/ACA
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
May consider a QBE accountant

Has strong attention to detail and communicates confidently with project teams and stakeholders
Enjoys collaborating across functions, building relationships with operational, commercial, and finance colleagues
Has experience in project accounting, ideally within long-term, high-value programmes
Comes from engineering, manufacturing, construction, or similar project-focused environments
Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment where priorities evolve quickly
Has a proactive approach, spotting risks and opportunities to support project success
