Clinical Template: 25 patient contacts, 40 mins admin, 1 home visit (flexible based on preference)
Job Summary
Our established is seeking a Newly Qualified GP (within 2 years of CCT) to join its collaborative, high-performing network of practices. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a developing GP to gain broad clinical exposure, strong support, and long-term stability through ARRS funding.
You will deliver a range of duties outlined in the GMS contract, including consultations, clinical administration, prescribing responsibilities, and continuity of care across PCN sites.
Main Responsibilities
* Conduct face-to-face and telephone consultations for a wide range of clinical presentations.
* Undertake home visits and nursing home reviews as required.
* Manage repeat prescriptions, medication queries, and relevant clinical documentation.
* Screen patients for risk factors, early signs of illness, and chronic disease indicators.
* Lead on clinical decision-making for undifferentiated and complex cases.
* Request, interpret and action diagnostic tests, ensuring appropriate follow-up.
* Make timely referrals to secondary care or other healthcare providers.
* Develop personalised care and treatment plans in line with NICE and local guidance.
* Maintain accurate, high-standard clinical notes using EMIS or SystmOne.
* Take part in clinical audits, learning events, and practice meetings to support continuous improvement.
* Prescribe safely and appropriately, following formulary and BNF guidance.
* Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team and wider Federation staff.
* Contribute to the achievement of PCN and Federation performance indicators and service priorities.
About You
* Newly qualified GP within 2 years of CCT.
* Confident in managing a broad primary care caseload.
* Able to work flexibly across PCN sites using EMIS and/or SystmOne.
* Strong communicator with a commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care.
* Motivated to contribute to service improvement and local primary care development.
