A leading food manufacturer is now seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead the logistics, distribution, and storage operations for the business. The role involves managing and developing all aspects of the supply chain function to ensure customer service is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Manage the Supply Chain function to ensure BRC and financial audit compliance.
2. Manage all third-party logistics and storage operations: contract review and renewal, cost optimization, improvement plans, and regular reviews.
3. Provide OTIF (On Time In Full) information to departments and ensure customer OTIF targets are met.
4. Oversee the supply chain budget.
5. Manage the team through appraisals, reviews, training, development, and addressing disciplinary or grievance issues. Ensure timely return to work and manage absence.
6. Promote safety by hazard reporting across the team and site.
The successful candidate will have previous experience within the food manufacturing or wider FMCG sector, strong people management skills, and a proven track record of developing high-performing teams. Experience in driving continuous improvement, health & safety initiatives, and cost optimization with third-party suppliers is essential.
