Job Description
The A350 Galleys Program designs and produces world class Galleys structures for the A350 Aircraft.
Officially headquartered in the UK with manufacturing in the Philippines the A350 Galley Program continues to be the premier solution for Airbus and supplying most of the galleys on all models of the A350 aircraft.
The Controller will be responsible for leading the A350 Galley Programs finance function, supporting the General Manager in the UK and other functional leaders in the Philippines and US. The Controller directs the financial and management accounting, controlling, and reporting as well as all financial planning and analysis activities. The Controller will report directly to the Director Finance, she/he will work daily with the General manager and other functional leaders across the Globe. The Controller will be an integral part of the A350 Galleys Senior Management Team.
What you will do
1. Manage the Finance and Accounting personnel in the UK, and Philippines. This position will also manage the Global trade and compliance team in the UK.
2. Responsible for the internal control environment. This includes but is not limited to Sarbanes/Oxley, ensuring that the company adheres to The Company’s accounting policies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and acting as primary interface on all Company audits. In addition, will be responsible for ensuring compliance to all annual statutory reporting requirements as well as overall protectorate of the Company’s assets.
3. Partner with site leadership in developing robust financial plans and driving performance to meet those goals through targeted objectives based on strong financial and operational analysis.
4. Provide management with actionable insight through proactive, thorough analysis and recommendations, driving business results to maximum value.
5. Partners with and supports Engineering, Operations and Supply chain in developing actionable plans toward efficient and cost reduction and improve financial returns.
6. Influence business investment decisions by analyzing the impacts on Collins’s financial and strategic goals, while proactively managing risks and maximizing opportunities.
7. Provide technical and analytical guidance to management on key metrics, deliverables, reporting requirements and ad-hoc analysis.
8. Develop and grow talent and build capabilities, tools and skills that improve employee development, efficiency and value of the Finance and other functions.
Qualifications and experience we would prefer
9. 5 Years of experience of a senior financial role within multinational / manufacturing business
10. The successful candidate must be effective in interacting with senior leadership as a hands-on leader who can cut across multiple functions within a highly matrixed organisation, building trust, and influencing strategic decisions.
11. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is essential
12. Demonstrable experience of leading people and staff development
13. Experience of leading the development of key elements of financial plans, including cost reductions, earned value management, budget and policy recommendations and medium-term planning activities.
14. Can demonstrate managing an organization’s finance activities to support the business plans of the organization, including: pricing, revenue recognition and cost modelling.
15. Planning & evaluating strategy for financial and/or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
Highly Desirable
16. Experience using a ERP systems & Advanced Excel
17. Excellent computer skills and experience with SAP, Hyperion, JD Edwards, or another comparable ERP system.
18. An advanced degree in accounting, finance, MBA, or professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA will be an advantage.
19. Current UK Tax and VAT exposure and knowledge
