Job Description Summary
MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is an entity within the Medical University of South Carolina that provides healthcare to patients within the rural health network throughout South Carolina.
The Registered Nurse role provides patient/family centered care utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired results.

Work Shift
3 twelve-hour shifts per week, 7p-7a, 1 weekend per month (Sat/Sun 8am-2pm).
Job Responsibilities
* Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
* Focus on patient/family-centered care, addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
* Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment, ensuring patient privacy and respectful behavior.
* Participate in shared governance, adhere to standards of care, and engage in professional development to promote leadership and clinical excellence.
* Coordinate effective patient care delivery through care management principles.
* Identify clinical priorities and initiate actions to improve patient outcomes.
Minimum Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited nursing school, licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing, certification in Basic Life Support, and required certifications in PALS and ACLS.

Physical and Other Requirements
Ability to perform various physical activities, lift up to 50 lbs, maintain visual and auditory acuity, work in stressful situations, rotate shifts, and work in a latex-safe environment.
