Xml Who You Are You are an experienced social worker with a proven record of undertaking complex Care Act assessments and reviews. You have expertise in adult care within a multi-agency environment and are committed to the wellbeing and safeguarding of adults and children. Your role requires a balance between promoting independence and protecting individuals from harm. What the Job Involves Carry a caseload, independently undertaking community care and safeguarding assessments for complex cases Ensure the safeguarding and duty of care of adults, children, families, and carers Provide expert opinion within the organisation and externally Balance needs and risks with rights and choices to promote positive outcomes Maintain accurate case notes and prepare reports for court proceedings Work collaboratively across departments and with external agencies Offer casework supervision and guidance to less experienced staff Participate in the recruitment, assessment, and support of prospective carers and adopters Skills Social Work qualification; HCPC registered Sound knowledge of relevant legislation (Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005) Strong assessment and interview skills Experience in statutory work, including safeguarding and court work Effective communication and organisational skills Ability to work independently and within a multi-agency team Proficient in IT skills, including Microsoft Office Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice Experience working with vulnerable individuals and families Preparedness for face-to-face visits and out-of-hours work
