Employee Relations Advisor – FTC (12 Months) Glasgow | Hybrid | Immediate Start

We’re supporting the appointment of an Employee Relations Advisor into a busy and evolving People Services team, where you’ll play a key role supporting managers across a broad range of employee relations matters within a fast-paced environment.
There’s a particularly strong focus on absence management, early intervention and helping managers feel more confident handling people situations proactively before they escalate into formal processes.
What the role will involve
You’ll manage a varied ER caseload, supporting managers with both informal and formal employee relations matters including absence management, wellbeing conversations, capability concerns and wider people challenges.
A key part of the role will involve coaching and supporting managers to confidently handle situations early, helping create a more proactive and supportive approach to employee relations across the organisation. Alongside case management, you’ll also support investigations, hearings, wellbeing initiatives and wider people-focused projects, while ensuring policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently.
This role will suit somebody who enjoys building relationships, having honest conversations and bringing a calm, practical approach to sensitive situations.
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to speak with HR professionals who already have strong Employee Relations experience and feel comfortable managing absence and wider ER casework independently.

* Confidence supporting managers through complex people matters
* Experience coaching and developing manager capability
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* A practical, solutions‑focused approach
* Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Resilience within fast‑paced and evolving environments
Experience working within unionised or more complex organisations would be beneficial, although not essential.
