We are currently seeking to recruit a PR Executive to join the team at the Volkswagen National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.
We are looking for an experienced PR Executive to champion the National Learning Centre, to raise its profile, and to drive engagement in learning. This role reports directly to the Customer Experience and Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Content and Promotion
* Identify and create regular PR articles that support and amplify the NLC’s vision and mission
* Generate copy to produce PR articles and assets
* Promote PR articles through correct appropriate channels to drive views and engagement with internal and external customers audiences
* Brief internal media team to produce video/photography to support content for PR articles
* Write and distribute press releases and promotional materials
Stakeholder Engagement
* Build relationships with internal stakeholders and network contacts to generate article ideas
* Conduct interviews where required
* Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and stakeholders
* Liaise with brands to ensure consistency in promoting corporate image
* Support Management team with regular internal communications
Campaign Coordination
* Devise creative public relations content that fits company profile
* Develop effective PR plans using appropriate tactics
* Support ideation and implement effective PR campaigns
* Organise and coordinate PR activities
* Assess opportunities for sponsorships and partnerships and manage those relationships
Monitoring and Reporting
* Analyse results of PR campaigns and report on KPIs (e.g. content created, articles delivered, views, engagement)
About You
* Effective communication, including written, editing and verbal communication
* Minimum two years’ proven experience in PR
* Extensive copywriting experience
* Excellent presentation skills; comfortable as a public speaker
* Strong interpersonal and networking abilities.
* Ability to building and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
* Proven experience in coordinating and managing effective PR campaigns across multiple channels
* Understanding of how PR can be used to align to and support commercial objectives
* Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
* A creative mind with the ability to find effective solutions
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines under pressure
* Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Experience delivering against KPIs
* Experience of creating short form social media ready articles

Salary & Benefits

Working Hours
Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week
Place of Work
VWG National Learning Centre, Wymbush, Milton Keynes. There will also be times when it may be necessary to work from alternative locations such as (but not limited to) Calex offices, alternative VWG facilities and retailers, and other sites as necessary to perform the role, including international events.
Pre-employment Checks
Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated referees, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). The nature of this role may necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
