The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to lead a fabrication team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong fabrication background who can support production, improve processes, and bring fresh ideas to the shop floor.
Responsibilities include:
Leading and supporting welders and fabricators on the shop floor
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Planning jobs, labour and materials efficiently
Estimating build times and supporting production scheduling
Setting, monitoring and reviewing KPIs
Conducting regular 1-1 meetings with team members
Identifying and implementing new methods and ideas to improve production processes
Supporting quality standards and production targets
Maintaining health and safety standards across the department
About You
Previous fabrication experience or a strong fabrication background
Experience working as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Fabricator
Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Experience carrying out time studies or estimating
Strong knowledge of welding processes and fabrication materials
Able to motivate teams and improve shop floor performance
Proactive approach with the ability to introduce process improvements
