Rent and Service Charge Officer – Yorkshire Housing
We’re on the hunt for an organised, motivated, and proactive Rent and Service Charge Officer to join our amazing team on a 12 month secondment. What you’ll be doing
* Ensuring that rents and service charges are calculated in line with policy and correctly entered into the rent system.
* Preparing service charge schedules for various schemes annually and calculating revised charges for review and sign‑off by the Head of Service.
* Producing informative annual rent and service charge letters, completing annual income and expenditure reports, and responding to colleague queries.
* Maintaining accurate records and working continuously to improve processes with your coordinator to meet best practice.

* Great communication skills and confidence with IT, especially Excel and Word
* Strong Excel skills for managing and analysing data
* Accuracy, numeracy and a sharp eye for detail
* Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
* Experience handling complex numerical data and creating spreadsheets
* Organised, proactive and keen to learn
Bonus points if you have:
* Knowledge of rent and service charge regulations
* Experience with Open Accounts or Orchard
* Background in housing finance
